Not much for a big dollop of hot fudge? Me either. This one though. Woah. Make it in advance and allow it to set in the fridge for a creamy, dreamy, chocolate dose you didn’t even know that you needed.
The consistency here is unparalleled to other recipes I’ve tried for the chocoholic in my life.
Dreamy Hot Fudge
- 1 c. heavy cream
- 1/2 c. sugar
- 1/4 tsp. salt
- 1/2 c. butter
- 6 oz (~200g) bittersweet chocolate
- 1/4 c. cocoa powder
- In a small pot, over medium heat combine cream, sugar, salt, and butter. Stir occasionally until butter is melted.
- Turn temperature down to a simmer and add in the bittersweet chocolate. Stir frequently, until melted.
- Remove from heat to whisk in the cocoa powder.
- Return to heat and stir about 30 seconds or until creamy and glossy.
Note: Can be eaten immediately, but much better after it’s had time to chill out in the fridge.
