Lido Tamerici Spiaggia- Puglia

Towards the end of our time in Puglia, the weather finally seriously started thinking about converting to summer heat. We considered many beach clubs for a lazy afternoon and were very happy with our choice of Lido Tamerici Spiaggia. The vibe was definitely adults enjoying vacation than a party scene, the mood was perfect for us. Beach club to the adjacent Pescheria Hotel, the quaintness of the property from afar had us wishing we knew about the place for a stay too.

The ocean at Tamerici was largely placid and shallow, it is mostly a rocky beach, but there are a few areas where you can safely walk farther out into the sea for a swim.

La Pescheria in the background…

Oceanfront prosecco to kickoff a lazy apero hour.

The lunch options in the restaurant were abundant and everything we saw walk by looked delicious. Being hot and with more than my fair share of pasta lately, I opted for the (don’t judge) Greek salad (in Italy). It was abundant, cool, crisp and just hit the spot.

The Gentleman opted for the special octopus pasta…and was served one with prawns instead. Ah well, if that’s the worst part of the day, we’d manage to survive…

During a post-lunch beach stroll, we came across a vendor who was selling these darling bottom-heavy penguins that seemed to bob in and out of the water, alive with delight of the day.

While you can pre-book at Tamerici and you probably should, the lazy vibe also ensured the place wasn’t full, though we were early in the season. This is definitely worth a visit if you’re looking for a laid back beach day with just the right amount of services.
