It’s difficult to try and describe the sentiment of place as special as Masseria Palombara, perfect for one of the best days of my life. In short, after a quick trial evening at a beachfront disaster of a place, we relocated to the masseria for our anniversary. Stepping into the grand living room with its cozy, mismatched chic collection of furniture, games, and gorgeous artwork adorning the walls had me ready to open my own boutique hotel there on the spot….though, really I’m always on the verge of ready for that.

While the weather wasn’t entirely in our favor, we toured the grand grounds on by bicycle in the rain (like something out of a Nicholas Sparks movie), enjoyed the hamaan, had a lazy lunch followed by a nap, and later could take a swim in the pool. As the weather broke, we drove to the coast to catch the somewhat cloudy, though mostly cotton candy sunset and returned to the most delicious dinner on the terrace. The laid back vibe was perfect to the upscale services and wonderfully attentive and friendly staff. Masseria Palombara was the perfect place to celebrate an anniversary turned engagement and because of that will always have a special place in our memory.
