Looking for a sensibly priced crash pad the night before a flight, we did some neighborhood recon and decided on the Caruso Place. Located in the shopping area between many shops and restaurants, it couldn’t have felt safer in a rough and tumble city. However…. the hotel comes with a price and that is that you can’t easily access it as it’s in a pedestrian only area. This made unloading luggage and even finding the hotel extremely difficult. While a good option for Naples, don’t make this mistake if you have a lot of heavy things or expect a quick entry/exit. Additionally, as it is among the lively streets, the rooms are quite loud with neighborhood noise.
The good news was that the room was large and clean.

There’s a small area for bar/coffee and double hanging bars for clothes should you crash here longer than a night.

The bath was large and clean with lights you could change color of according to your mood. Oh la la.

The view was a bit lackluster (and the football celebrations still rampant) but explains some of the neighborhood noise wafting up through the window.

The security of the hotel was intense with a massive door you had to dial in and out of to enter. The bellhop was also wonderfully helpful, lugging our large bags up a steep back alley and into a side door of the hotel. Really, the service was quite good, but just watch out if you need to actually get to the hotel by car with many things.
