The Ibis Chateau de Fontainebleau works fine for a one night crash pad if you’re planning to see Sting play at the castle next door. When he has to cancel due to weather, you wonder why you’re there and should you just leave early. The room was bare bones, though available at 11:00 which was nice. It was missing a fridge and safe…and cups… and shower gel… but who’s counting.

The bathroom was a budget hotel bathroom and featured one spider web prominently.

Did the hotel serve its purpose and low price point? Absolutely? Would I book it again? Probably not. Was Sting staying here wondering why he cancelled the show? Absolutely? Did he respond to my IG DM? Definitely not.
