On the quest for an inexpensive crash pad the night before a train trip out of Milan, I met my friend at the cheap and cheerful NYX Milano. Service was top notch, the locale was just across from Milano Centrale, and brekky was included. What more could you ask for for a few hours rest?
The room was a very vibrant old film theme.

And overlooked this very fun courtyard.

Although, I quickly found that once in these beanbag chairs, it was impossible to drink an Aperol Spritz. It was even more impossible to get out of them in a dress without doing a knees to the ground swing around move. (technical term)

The bathroom featured heating lights and some quirkily named toiletries.

And as you made your way through the hotel, you’d find there was some very strange art…everywhere. It was fun for its purpose of entertaining a youthful crowd.

The indoor lounge felt a little more adult than playroom….

…aside from the occasional lizard sunning itself on the bar.

No words….

Overall this quirky hotel served its purpose and most importantly was clean! I’d stay here again if needing Centrale outside my door, absolutely. I’ll just need a few more spritzes to understand the art.
