Thursday was the Ascension holiday, so I was quite glad to have made a reservation in advance. The menu and reviews at Osteria Chiara looked delightful. I was seated right on time, and with a prime table overlooking the lake. The lunch menu was quite limited. I’d walked 7 miles and was excited for a starter and main, making it my big meal for the day. This turned out to be a one dish kind of a place. I elected this gorgeous Caprese salad. It made me quite happy, (though still hungry). Absolutely, come here for a nice lunch, just don’t make it your statement meal for the day.
