Swiss Miss: Epesses

The next day I woke up early in Cully and decided that I would walk the 1.5 hours to the funicular that would take me to my lunch in Vevey. Whelp, about 20 minutes in, I was greeted with a charming sign stating that ‘yeah we get that this is the most scenic road in Switzerland, but we’re closing it to foot traffic for FIVE years.’ Casual. We don’t work on the weekends here, OK? (Honestly, it’s really great).

So, I proceeded up over the mountain instead of around it. I made it as far as Epesses and thank God I did. What an unbelievably charming little village with abundant views of the verdant lands below. Time to cancel lunch, soak it in, and call it a day.
