This last week a few events had me thinking about how short life is and who knows what time looks like on the planet or even just in Switzerland. I needed to make the most of it. So, an impromtu weekend away to reflect and be in nature sounded perfect. OK, maybe there would be some local wine tasting too, but when in Rome. The Lavaux region is one of my favorite Swiss finds so far and I keep returning to discover the various villages, hikes, and wineries. There are enough trails and variations of the local white, Chasselas, to keep you busy weekend after weekend for however long your Swiss visit allows you.
