After a busy morning wandering around Luzern, trying to sort a bunch of details and purchases for the new apartment, I was famished! I literally could have eaten anything. On the bright, sunny, day I opted for Il Cortile as I was passing it because of their large patio. Thinking I was being Covid conscious, I would take one for the team and dine al fresco at this lovely Italian spot.
Whelp, patio was closed, despite the unseasonably warm day. A seat inside, well partitioned from the other tables would do. The set lunch menu gives you an option of soup or salad, choice of a plate, and a dessert of their choosing.

For plate I opted for a shrimp and truffle pasta. There was SO MUCH pasta. These Luzern joints do not skimp on the size. The pasta was fine, but not amazing. The truffles, well, I don’t know, maybe I had the end of one, as I found myself chomping down on truffle scented rocks.

While I’d been hoping for a bite of tiramisu for dessert, it was profiteroles instead. I’m never much of a fan of these as I think they always look better than they are. These were phenomenal though. Cap me off with an espresso and send me back out into the day for more long walks.
