I just spent the last few days exploring the areas of Venice that had been previously unknown to me- Lido, Murano, Burano, and Mazzorbo. My favorite of the list was Burano, so I just had to share a few highlights in photo form. After a sleep-inducing hourly hour-long ferry, you arrive in a sort of an old, stone-laden park. Then, as you enter the tiny town of just 5,000 residents, you find that each building is brighter and cheerier than the next. You’ll want to photograph every door, alley, nook and cranny. But you can’t because the passages are quite narrow. If you’re heading to Venice, this is well worth the out-of-the-way location and deserves the trek.
