Bienvenue à Miami

A crummy string of events last Friday had me jonsing for some good girlfriends. I reached out to the Miami crew to see who might be in town this weekend. Turns out everyone was (and responded immediately) and even the kids from NYC were around! A flight booked and 30 minutes to shower and pack… I was off for a weekend adventure! Packing so quickly doesn’t work for me. I brought 4 pair of tan sandals, 3 handbags, and no appropriate dresses. This was for 2 days, but whateves! I had a blast and it was so great to see the Miami kids.

The first night we hoofed around Brickell, bar hopping and checking out the new sites. Viceroy is now a W and has a busted pool!

Naturally, Cantina La Veinte was wonderful as always.

Margarita Time

The next morning brought a long walk around my favorite spot, Brickell Key.

I dined by the water at the Mandarin Oriental and had a delicious open faced omelet covered in queso fresco. Mmmm.

After brunch, it was time for a birthday party on the beach (to be followed by a birthday party by a pool). The surf was wicked and a strange color thanks to all of the rip tides.

Saturday night was dinner until midnight at a delicious Peruvian spot, and a few old haunts with besties. Blackbird’s patio is under construction and the bar is a mess!

Only in Miami is hangover brunch at the Four Seasons. It was incredible and I made good use of the bottomless Moet.

.All of the desserts….
